Origins

My artistic journey began back when I was a younger person at school. I failed art at school because I was never satisfied with drawing still lifeless objects. I have now retired from work and over the last 5  years I have dedicated more time to my artwork. I live in the beautiful Midwest region of Western Australia. Self taught I have evolved from random artwork to more of a targeted style of art with animals and pastels. I have gravitated to pastels and have learnt the use of pan pastels which I love. I started my journey with the stick pastels practicing on cardboard.  As I developed the feel for pastel I now put animals onto a pastel mat board.  With practice a perseverance  I complete my work mostly from photos I have taken.
